Dagon, sounds like you have the same problem I have. When I lived in Florida, you couldn\'t walk down the street for all the kids and adults trying to scare kids. But here? I think Halloween may have been outlawed this year and no one told me. Sounds like the kind of crap my backward-cornhole state would do. I told my wife that we are moving by next Halloween...the lack of Halloween is the last straw(in a group of many)...I gotta get the hell outta here. I live in a decent sized neighborhood in a good area of town(as good as they get around here) and no trick or treaters?!?!? WTF?!
sorry to hear that you guys weren\'t able to enjoy yourselves. After spending the last two days straight building and setting up all the halloween decorations, the end result, meaning the TOT\'s, was disappointing. Last year we probably had over 100 TOT\'s come through. This year though, we maybe had 30. Alot like what Ben said, started around 6 and was a ghost town by 8pm. Half of those that came, I finally had to either take the masks off or leave just to get them to make it completely up the sidewalk to the front door. Very weak turnout this year, which leaves me to wonder it Halloween is losing its meaning...
This year it wasn\'t that great, I remember before you could go out for Halloween at night by yourself and collect all those goodies, now you have to go out early and mostly you are accompanied by an adult.. well Im well over that age but I thought to see the same thing out in the streets but not anymore
Its this fear that media put\'s into us that things have changed... dont eat candy thats not wrapped... I mean even if someone wanted to hurt you there are many ways to poisoned candy even when it is wrapped... so wants the point but trying to scare people ...CONTROL US... AGGHHHHH <_<
Yeah, my Halloween sucked too. I hate depending on other people. When I get a house of my own My wife and I will do it up right. That\'s another reason why apartment living socks. My in-laws have insane amount of props and decerations to use. They decided not to go all out this year so I was pissed off. They still past out candy, but it\'s not the same. Maybe I am being selfish. All the kids in town look forward to the house being all decked out. Not only do they lose out but, we do as well. The kids were even throwing rocks at the house. It doesn\'t make it right, but they were expecting to see a great haunt too. Each year it seems that Halloween gets less exciting. It depresses the hell out of me. I hope to GOD next year is different. If not I coming over to your house Tommy (myers04). I hope you and Aaron got some pics. For those of you who had a good Halloween that\'s awesome. For those of us who didn\'t I feel your pain. Damn I sound bitter as hell.

That blows man. I took off today cause we usually party during the night and after the trick or treaters have gone home. Well none of that happened I should have probably just went into work today. I wish Halloween was more than once a year. People look forward to this day all year and then it\'s over. And if it ends up bad you have to what till next year to make up for it.
you guys are lucky over here in the UK halloween is just an excuse for scum bag chav kids to hang out in even bigger groups and throw eggs at anything that moves!
I took the kids on a trick or treat planned route by a local fancy dress shop that had mailed the locals and told them to out signs up if they didn\'t want kids knocking on their door.
It was quiet, not many displays a few pumpkins that was about it but the kids had fun and collected plenty of sweets.
Over here we seem to be having more kids halloween parties at home as walking the streets just aint safe enough.
Maybe you guys that had a bad one should do what i\'m thinking of doing for next year and make or build a big display or grotto for the local kids to visit?
My Halloween was good in the fact that I had a cool costume that I got compliments on. That was Saturday night, but last night wasn\'t so good. Talk about some things just not being the same.... I had a bad weekend that I won\'t get into, but it definately screwed my Halloween.
My Halloween was kind of crappy as well. I had planned on going to see Saw III with a friend of mine and then to a party afterwards, but then he cancelled.
So, I sat in the living room and watched horror movies all night. Not too bad, but certainly not what I wanted to be doing on Halloween night.
