I'm still corresponding with him to see if there is anything that can be worked out. Normally, he manually applies a metal layer over the casting which accounts for the high cost. I inquired about the possibility of a resin casting simply painted with chrome paint. I'll post as soon as I receive a response.
Also, he stated his mask would come with a "guarantee document" signed by himself.

That's interesting concerning his technique. I'm sure the end result is stunning to behold. Still seems too steep to me though. Thanks for following up with him some more.

Yeah, a simple resin copy painted silver would be fine by me.
