My Electic Chair Project And New Pics Added

My brother and I have been working on an electic chair project for the last month and a half to go in our haunted house. Here are some finished pics. We bult the thing from scratch literally. This baby features full size electic chair, with tripple layered sound effects, flicker box (to simulate power drain) 1 dummy with full articulation in joints, smoking effects, electocution effect, pnumatics and control box to operate it all.

When in operation first the lights are one and the dummy is still, then when the switch is thrown the dummy starts jerking comvulsivily in the chair while the screams and electrocution can be heard, the lights dim and fliker while this is going on. then the power is stopped, and then a second jolt a electricity is sent through his body and it all repeats except this time at the end smoke start pouring from his head. we shut the power off and the lights go back to nomral, we ask a person in the audience to check his pulse to see it he is still alive and when the walk up to the dummy and touch him the entire chair flies foward at them, then the lights go out.
The head is a little small but we are going to make it bigger to look more proportional. to see a video of the phumatics go over to my website and click on electric chair project.









These are pictures of our lobby we have a 50 inch tv setup that shows clips from many famous horror films, also the masks on the walls are mask that we have used in the past.


Here is our Freddy sporting a hand knitted part 1 sweater made by a mother of one of our staff members, also Freddy is sporting an awsome Dream Evil mask from CGP.



Here are two of our staff members. the one in purple is a tour guide, the other one is our shower victum from our psycho seen, notice how perky she looks in more ways than one. Since we have to have a siloette she put pieces of tootsie rolls in her bra to give off a more natural shape.

yeah at five bucks a pop you cant beat it, also i would let you in free so you really cant beat it.
We made 515.00 on opening night. Would have made a lot more but some groups left becasue the wait was too long for them.

Mad props on the prop . You got any more? I decide to volunteer for the whole Haunted house thing this year because I was tired of going through shitty ones, but I\'m afraid ours will fall by the way side. Everyone likes my masks, but there "uncomfortable to wear, or can\'t breath as well" in the ones I\'m letting them use. I\'m tring to be jason from part 7, got the gloves, undermask, and chest piece, but there are two other losers running around with those shit hockey masks on. And another thing we\'ve got four chainsaws in this place. OVERKILL!!! People are too busy running the whole time from the noise to look around and have some one jump out at them. It\'s pretty crappy cuz we\'ve got people with rubies on, running around in street clothes. Basically there philosophy is chinsaws make the haunted house, not creative ideas and good costumes. My bad for stealing your thread but I just needed to vent for a sec. Good luck with yours Dude.

oh your not stealing my thread i love to hear what other people are working on in there haunted houses. In my haunted house we stive to make the actors look as good as we can we purchse most of our stuff from independant studios like CGP and NIGHTOWL. We limit the chainsaw action to one(that\'s me heh) i get you at the exit just before you leave. Also to keep the groups moving steadily we have tour guides for each group. One in th front and one at the end of every group.
