Hey guys...I\'m sure you can help me out here.

I bought a few bottles of the normal stuff:

Before I waste half of it experimenting, what do you suggest I add to it to thicken it up a bit? It\'s too runny straight outta the bottle. Also, what can I add to make it a little darker?

    Thanks!
    Mike

maybe some corn startch to thicken it and some blue food color to darken it, or some black dye, cause i\'m not sure of the proberties of the fake blood

i use that exact same blood. i mix in cocoa powder, makes it thicker and darker. also i add more red food coloring and a bit of green if needed. and a spot of water if it gets too thick. the cocoa powder also makes it dry nice and dark.

Well, thick enough so I can apply it to skin or a shirt without it running that much...it can slowly ooze its way down like molasses or thick caramel, but the slower the better I guess. I\'ll be creating fake wounds and such and making bloodied costumes.

Yeah, don\'t buy that stuff. It turns to a pale shade of pink on clothes. Make your own so it stays red.

That stuff looks ok if you add black fabric paint, and caro syrup.

I have not used this stuff, but most of the idea\'s mentioned should work well, i make my own from food colouring golden syrup, you can make a good gelblood for clothes etc by mixing gelatine into the mix, don\'t make it to thick though, and if you want it to flow better on the skin add detergent (or washing up liquid for those of us in the uk)
