Well after working on this thing forever. I finally finished it. I posted pics on a earlier post of my chainbar but I wanted to show you all how it looks after I added the chain. I spent about 3 hours last saturday in my garage with a dremel and I ground down and smoothed out each tooth on the chain. Then I cut the chain and glue it to the chainbar so it doesn\'t come near the Gear, this way the chain will not and can not move. Then I added some red paint, and sponges to look like meat. Ad I clear coated that. And did about 6 layers of paint and clear coat, and added some hair. Now my chainsaw looks disturbing and I know it\'s going to freak some people out at my Haunted House.
***Let me add one more time so everyone understands... The chain does not move. And the teeth are dull as hell.***
I actually took the chain and ran it across my leg to see if it was safe enough, and it was. I figured if someone is going to get hurt it needs to be myself. As a extra safety precaution I filled in the gaps with Goop glue (which is flexible and helps make if soft)

So here are some pics I want to share with you. They are alittle close, but my Chainsaw is at the Haunted House so I can\'t take new ones.

    That\'s badass!
Can you post up pics of the entire chainsaw?

What did you use to glue the chain to the bar? I used JB Weld to glue a bike chain to my chainsaw bar, but I don\'t think I cleaned the chain thoroughly enough because it fell off within 1/2 hour of using it at our haunt. This time I used brake cleaner to clean the chain.

I used that Goop Glue, but I also cleaned out the Chainbar and it was a brand new chain and I just wiped the oil off. (My wife thought I was nuts buying a new chain then grinding it down)

I\'ll try and make it over the Haunted House tonight and get some pics, and have them posted in the next few days.

    Thanks for the compliments.

Thanks again, you know it\'s funny before I got into this Forum I never would have done this much. But seeing how much work you all put into your costumes inspired me to do so myself. When I get everything done for my Bubba Costume I\'m going to post some pics.
