Dremmel

I have almost no experience with dremmel tools, and I have to cut out a mask, but the thing is, it has some places that will require some sharp cuts (the eyes are diamond shaped), what bit is good for this? WHats it called and whats it\'s little number so I can find it at the store?

Forget the dremmel, good way to ruin your mask like that if you don\'t have much experiance with it. Go buy a small pair of curved blade manicure sissors, they\'re the best thing to use for cutting out eye, nose, mouth, and ear holes.

Good Call Travsall! I have experience with a dremmel and I did a number on my finger when the cutting disk got caught in the Chainsaw blade I was dulling.

A dremel tool is good for cutting warts or other blemishes off a blank but I would recomend using a small pair of sissors with decent thickness so they dont seperate will cutting the latex. Also make small cuts, you can always take more latex away but its hard to add latex back.

I\'m positive he is talking about cutting fiberglass Casey Jones mask and not latex. You can cut latex with a dremmel though but it\'s totally not necessary...

Use curved scissors and the Exacto knife,as the guys say.Tools for modifying masks are normally inexspensive.Here,s what the Dremmel,s for-put some nice shelves up to display your masks on.Now take care with your masks.

If you MUST use the dremel, I suggest you use the cutting disks, and cut as CLOSE but not TOO the lines as much as possible, then use needle files to file down to where you need to go. Or fine grade sandpaper, folded up. Dremels are great for taking big chunks off fast, but if you want to get in tight with them, one slip is all it takes to ruin something. Believe me, I know badly from experience. I use my dremel for almost everything, from etching to model building, from housework repairs to automotive repairs. Even after years of experience here, I don\'t trust it half as much as I do myself after getting close to where I need to go with it, and using a file or sandpaper to finish something off.

they are good for cutting your nails and trimming your nose hairs before a date too.
try doing that with a dremel!!

Soooo, for cutting out a resin/fiberglass mask if I don\'t have a dremmel tool or any experience with one, I should drill holes in the areas I want cut out and use a needle file and sandpaper to cut out the areas I need to?
