First Attempt With Silicone Gone Bad Lol

Well I did not have enough silicone to fill the mold & I made it pretty thick, the first pics are of the inner core with clay on it that stuck to it from the negative mold & the second is my first attempt at silicone but I did not have close to enough so I am ordering some cause I want to see this done. Figured I would share my mistakes with you guys LOL.

Thanks haunt & yeah my goal is to make a few silicone masks & the prices will be around $250 to $350, not sure what characters I am doing yet but first things first is to get to no the products a little better, latex is so simple plus I have been doing those for over 3yrs so doing silicone should not take me to long to long to learn. The reason why I started the VS is because I have a guy asking me for one & then a few other people so that is why I began playing with silicone. I can make molds fine out of silicone now it is just the matter of learning how to make masks & Displays LOL. Oh yeah I forgot then I have to learn how to paint them, OH BOY!

I painted a few little things in silicone. Thinned down silicone caulk with oil paint works well but I\'m sure you\'ve heard of the method.
Keep at it! I\'d love to pick one of these up and take a tour of the studio.
