Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this one. I recieved an email this morning saying my paypal account that I use for fun stuff and ebay, needed to be updated. So like an idiot, trusting paypal and maybe just being naive on my part, i entered my CC info and was done.
There was about 200 bucks in my checking account at the time. When I checked it 3 hours later, i had a balance of -951.28. Someone had wired money from my checking account thru WesternUnion.com.
When I called WU fraud dept. I was told that they had built a profile, ME  , and attempted to tranfer money 4 times totalling about 5,000 dollars to the Dominican Republic. For some reason even though there was only 200 and some change in the account the a- holes still got 951.28. Luckily Chase covered my dumbass and its not costing me anything, but i still have to change my passwords, get a new debit card, just a pain in the rear.

The reason im writing this is to give you guys all a heads up to look out for this crap. The page looked 100% real, it fooled the hell out of me. Just be careful, i would hate to see someone really lose thier ass to one of these lowlifes.

Yeah, i would think most banks would cover you but you never know. Also, its scary knowing that someone else took my info and was able to pull crap like that.

Sorry to hear that Zach. Spoof paypal emails have been going around for a long time now and I NEVER will access my paypal acct through a link. Especially through email. Always remember to manually type www.paypal.com to get to your acct. I know it\'s tougher than clicking a link... but it can save you a PITA in the long run. Glad you\'re covered by Chase!

    Sorry to hear that Zach.

It\'s a good thing they backed you up and it didn\'t cost you all that.

I was reading that has been going around.

Sorry to hear that bro and I hope everything works out.
