Hey fellas, i realize this may not be the place to talk about something of this nature, but you guys are always so supportive and im pretty much in a state of shock, im just hoping sharing this with you guys you could give me some advise or maybe some of you have went thru this same situation, ive lost a dear friend of many yrs, some of you know me as Kornbredd, well my buddy gave me that name many yrs ago and it has always just stuck, all my buds call me that now and have been for yrs, well my buddies name is Dave, or as we called him SUPER DAVE, cuz he could pound any alchohol drink in one huge swallow, he was 33 yrs old, and i considered him one of my top 5 friends, i mean not to get to personal but me and this guy were so close we swapped ol ladys every now and then, well anyway him and his ol lady were in the middle of getting a divorce, Dave wasnt taking it to well as she was allready dating some guy, well Dave was big in to guns and owned a pretty good arsenal, well he chose his 9mm to be by his side on this dreadful night while he watched his wife come home(her new house), he was hiding out near some bush's and when the car came to a stop he fired a round into the drivers side shooting his wifes boyfriend, then going around to the otherside of the car where he planned on shooting her as well, but he couldnt bring his self to do it, he then told her he will always love her, put the 9 to his chest and fired it killing himself almost instantly, wow, im just so shocked, he was such a smart, good loving guy, had no real violent tendencies, you know just your average guy. I wish i would have known it was this bad, he never really showed his emotions to his friends unless he was drinking, and that may be what got him in the end, from what i heard he was really drunk and under the influence of some pills, he was known to get really depressed and just not himself when he had too much, damn, its crazy, i cant even concentrate on work, i feel like shit, life seems a little less full now without him, ive never lost a friend so close, and just to know he ended his own life and wasnt killed by accident even hurts more, he helped me thru some hard times when i went thru a divorce, and always made sure suicide wasnt on my mind, he promised me life would get better and bought a half gallon of rum to drink with me, and that was just it, it was that simple to him, drink and it will go away, but this time it didnt, my friend is gone forever and theres nothing going to bring him back, i dont know whether to pick up the bottle or never drink again, any advise or related experince i would love to hear, and thanx guys for reading.......Oh yea heres the kicker, we all believe he ultimately decided to kill himself because he shot her boyfriend but he actually missed, the guy just played dead cause he was scarred, dave wasnt a murderer, he just wasnt himself, and his wife was still sleeping with him and leading him on thinking they were going to work it out, im sure at the last moment he realized what he was doing and had a change of heart but felt it was to late, he did not want to go to prison for murder for the rest of his life, and with the alchohol and pills he wasnt rational, what he did was wrong by all means, and when he commited this wrongful act he was not himself, but he was one of us, a father, brother, cousin, uncle, nephew, grandson and a best friend, Ill always love you dave and miss you brother, my partner, hunting buddie and boozing pal, you touched me in so many ways bro RIP Dave Anderson...1975-2008

I am very sorry to hear that. My prayers go out to his family and also the family of the other man. I am 29 years old and forunately have yet to lose someone close to tragedy, but I can definately feel it.

i have lost several close friends and i am only 21. each of their deaths were from driving under the influence of alcohol or pills. I used to drink hardcore, but in the past two years i have a new respect on life and only drink on special occasions. I never get behind the wheel and I never mess with drugs. Not drinking so often makes it more enjoyable when I do drink, and I always toast to my lost buds before I do. I always remember that if they could come back and have it to do over again they would do things alot differently, so I live my life everyday like its my last and I try to keep the head thats on my shoulders as good as it can be. Sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers are with you. GOD BLESS

you asked for advice?to start with i did read your post.Heres my advice to you..1- Nothing good ever comes from drinking, ever hear ANYONE say "drinking is the best thing that ever happened to me"?2- Leave the 2$ whores where they belong, on the street corner. ( you cant turn a whore into a house wife).3- The guy attempted to commit MURDER... scumbag!4- you said he was in your top 5?, well you have four left... 4 outta 5 aint bad..5- why would you post something like this about someone you say you cared about? strange...what have you learned from your "friends" tragic ending?and no i wont pat you on the back or hand you a hanky, thats not what you need..D.
