Well just finished my "Jason Takes Manhattan" life-sized/costume. It is slightly small on the 6'5" but still looks great. The arms are not quite as wide as the part 7 on this, being the muscle undersuit takes up too much space under the arms. I decided to replicate the look from the beginning of the movie where Jason first comes out of the lake and on to the boat, and is very muddy. I only ever see costumes made of just the blue uniform wet, never the mud look.So I used latex to build up thick mud, then painted with a mixture of tan, grey, black, brown etc. I then used mod podge on all of the mud areas to make it look thick and wet, as well as select other areas on the costume. I did not want to make the entire costume wet as it provides a better contrast with only the muddy areas, plus makes less of the costume brittle and heavy. I also created my own moss/algae out of latex. toilet paper, and cotton; and placed it on the arm area and waist. I also got the left sleeve and cuff perfect, as was very happy with how that turned out. The mask I got was actually darker than the movie color, (Bellamy) as I had the arms painted up lighter and screen accurately. But I actually like the darker grey/brown/black color better. But I decided to use the mud color anyway, which would cover the arms; so it didn't matter. I had the Hockey Mask for awhile and it is strapped accurately as well, and a lot more yellow than the pics with the bad lighting can display. The shirt looks more wet in person as well. I just filled the gloves with paper, and connect with a rubber band. Sometime I will get pics of the costume on me for more poses etc. But for now this will do, and I am very happy with how it came out. The gloves are also muddy and wet looking, and I did not use black leather because it has no grip for wearing, and it a lot hotter. I may buy some for display purposes though. This is about 99% done and still needs some touch ups. The lighting and camera do not do it justice so I can't wait for some outside pics. 1:1 scale of about 6'5" 250 LBS. Also has weatheed grey shirt as on screen. But to give an idea:
