Just trying to gauge interest on a new Peloquin bust being done.
I've been in contact with a sculptor who says he wants to finish
the project he started some time ago but, he's not sure if it
would sell. I told him I would ask around and see if there is any
interest. He told me the bust would be in resin and he would like
to sell about 10 copies to make it cost efficient. Here is a pic of the
sculpt.

I told him two can be spoken for already. One for me and one for
my cousin. In my opinion there just isn't enough quality Nightbreed
collectibles in production.

I've wanted this piece since it was first posted many moons ago! Here is the original thread: PELOQUIN. I've messaged Suckface a few times in the past about the possibility of finishing this, but nothing ever came of it. I'm definitely still interested.

I'm quite interested. The sculpt at the time was looking VERY nice and accurate; however, I would want some additional details before committing.

- Would the head and chest area be resin with latex dreads?
- Approx price?
- Would blanks be offered?

I look forward to more information on this one. Nice work Daz!

Whats up guys here is a update from the sculptor.

the whole thing would be resin , no latex dreads

Blanks would be available

price wise for a blank resin cast for somehting this size would be around £250-300 uk pounds
he's a big peice and with all those dread details will use up a lot of resin so shipping will be fairly expensize too.

UNfortuantly , I have other projects in mind that I know will sell very well and If I was to spend time sculpting this to the point where it is finished and then only have your 2 confimed orders It has not been cost effective for me to spend the time needed to sculpt it.

So in order for this to happen we would have to get some solid commitments from people willing to buy.
Let me know what you guys think.

For me personally I'm out at that price. The exchange simply makes the total too high. A blank bust would cost me $470 + $80 (I'm estimating) for shipping, for a total of $550 just for a blank. This is just about double what I've paid for other resin blanks (Tallman, Lost Boys David, Pumpkinhead). Please don't get me wrong, it's a decent price if I lived in the UK, it's just the golly gee willikers exchange can kill a potential deal for me.

Is there any reason why it can't be done in latex to keep production costs and sale price down? Just asking.

I'd be interested in a latex bust.

hi guy's

I'd love to finsh this guy up but with the costs and time I really can't prioratise it over other projects I have planned unless I knew it was going to be a good seller

I have no intention of breaking my back again with plaster molds for latex peices, with the price being pretty high here in the uk it's just more cost effect and easier on the back to go with silicone molds and a resin casting also cheaper o post than a foam filled latex bust and it's not going to rot in 10 years lol so this just makes sense Smile

I do think that the best material would be silicone and produce him as a mask so the dreads would be real nice to do but it would end up pretty bloody expensive and very heavy on your head to wear with all that silcine lol

thanks again for everyones kind words on this sculpt and hopefully if theirs interest I will one day complete him Smile
