Another good place to hit up is The Monster Lab. Lot of great tips posted there. I\'ve been thinking about trying this mask making myself lately, so I\'ve been all over tryin to find info. But, link to the monster lab through the HMA the link is broken here...

    (ahem)

thanks for the link, this is a dumb question i know, but the armature, thats the face part that u just put the clay over and make the mask, using the face of the armature as like a reference type thing right? not sure if that makes sense, but pretty much does it just hold the clay up for u to sculpture? and can u buy the supplies from stores or somewhere instead of ordering online? thanks again

Here ya go SNIKT! www.themonsterlab.com. Yea, adamms. The best way to learn about how to make a mask is through monster makers. They got all the materials you will need.

I would break it up into steps
(and even these steps can be broken into ten thousand steps)
    sculpting
    molding
    casting
    painting

first thing you need to do is get armature, clay and some tools
then while you are scultoing think of the things you need to get for molding
while you are molding think of the things you need to get for casting
    etc...etc...

I suggest just getting the armature from monster makers and the other stuff elsewhere. if you look hard enough you can find everything you need locally aside from the latex wich is hard to find.
