A Nightmare On Elm Street Remake Going For A Pg-13 Rating? - VF 31 - 11-07-2009

well a little off topic, but, it just makes me long for the good ole days. when a horror movie was meant for adults. and sure kids would still love to be able to watch and sneak a viewing while the parents werent around and loved it as much if not more than the adults. but nowadays horror is so much more targeted for younger people and then the diehard fans are stuck with a pg-13. its silly, horror isnt really meant for kids even though they eat it up. whether this is R or not, im just saying. obviously the industry isnt exactly how it used to be, and i miss it.

I was exposed to horror at the age of 3-4, but I had young parents, and the movies were never meant for me. I had to sneak into New Nightmare and JGTH at the local movie theatre lol. But seriously, I wish more horror directors would make the movie THEY want to see, and not the movie that will sell. I know its about money, but enough horror fans go see GOOD horror movies that it is what should be made. Oh well, maybe one of these days.

I don't consider anything rated pg-13 "horror". The big studios have let horror fans down and there is no sign of them correcting this error.

Horror today sucks. The new Friday the 13th was proof of that. RZ's Halloween wasn't the best but it beat the new F13.

It is my hope that even if for some lame reason this gets released as a PG13 there is always the more "R" rated uncut DVD release. That simply means I have to wait a little longer to see my R-Rated Nightmare movie. With today's home theater set-ups you're not really missing the "movie" experience anymore. And you don't have to put up with noisy people to boot.I, for one, am not worried.

Well, it is a remake of a classic, and they haven't made a good one yet! So why should this be any different?
