Spiderman (2012) - SUCKFACE - 01-14-2011

Looks like the old suit, just cheaper and crappily redone with "flings" on it that look like a doo doo pie.

A franchise with 1 bad movie (that as far as I know, the producers pretty much raped, because Sam didn't want Venom in it in the first place) that had its last movie not even 5 years ago, doesn't need a reboot.

the punisher and punisher: war zone were done only 4 years apart (04-08) and punisher: war zone was clearly the superior film. while the previous thomas jane film was not bad at all, the "revamp" was simply truer to the story. similar to how I feel this new spiderman will be.

I'm a big advocate of villains in these superhero films thus the number 1 issue I had with 3 was a phenomenon I like to call "villain-packing." Were 3 villains REALLY necessary in that film? "New" Goblin was downright ridiculous and, as Scott has already pointed out, they absolutely ruined Venom for the masses. They could had stretched this franchise on for many movies and I would have still been entertained had they stuck with the 1 per film approach. The only way "villain-packing" would work in this franchise is establishing the Sinister Six in their own films and making one including them all. Would have loved to see Mysterio, Scorpion, Shocker, Vulture, Vemon (done right), and Carnage - not to mention others.

In my opinion, the only superhero movie to have more than one villain successfully was The Dark Knight.

Alot of us also hated the F13 remake when the first pics came out. Yet we still went to see it. Film makers know no matter how people feel about the thought of a reboot it will make a load of cash. And that's what's important to film makers.

Notice the metal webslinger ports on his wrists. Mechanical web shooters true to the comic book rather than inherant biological web abilities?

Spiderman (2012) - VF 31 - 01-15-2011

DUDE I thought I was the only one who noticed. that was one thing I didn't care for in raimi's version. self-producing web. I will always dig the web-shooting canisters he created himself. knowing he could run out at any time made it much more exciting.
