They should just stick with a classic comic book style John Romita costume.

Terrible. Here is Hollywood screwing up another perfectly good character. I agree it needed a reboot, but they didn't have to radically change the costume. Sad...

Well, it couldn't look too much like Romita's version nor the Raimi version, as they have to guarantee new toy sales.....and as well all know...that's what these changes in costume designs are based on.

Hopefully that's his wrestling suit, the one before he gets his real suit..I have to say, Spider-Man 3 wasn't so bad that the series needed a reboot. The first 2 were great, and all 3 made a boat load of money. The only reason why Sony is rebooting Spider-Man is to save money on paying the original cast to come back for a 4th Spider-Man. This was a mistake, and you can tell from looking at that pic of what's in store. This movie, while it may be better than SM3, is not going to be as good as the first 2, and the originals are not even old, so audiences are going to do a big "wtf?" when this comes out.

I just thought the acting was getting very cheesy. Peter Parker becoming emo was horrible. Venom (visually) was done completely wrong. Not to mention Topher Grace. While I like him as an actor in other things, he wasn't playing Eddie Brock. He was playing Eric Foreman.

And jumping from 2 technology-based villains immediately into a man made of sand was very sudden. I understand a teenage kid fighting crime with spider powers is far from believable, at least Green Goblin and Doc Oc were "somewhat" realistic.

3 was such a drop off to me. I honestly didn't see Raimi getting back on track. This reboot should be cool and truer to the comic books. Spiderman 1 and 2 rocked, but I'm looking forward to the new flick.
