Similar to what KISS did when Ace and Peter joined back up in '96. Mikey refused and basically that's that. And I don't blame him one bit. I'm sure he'd love to play with Dave, Edward and Al again, but it was more about the principle I guess. He was basically insulted I guess.

That sucks! I honestly don't think they should bother without him. His backing vocals on those original records was a huge part of their sound...

Mike's backing vocals is extreme important on all albums, but think about the song ``ATOMIC PUNK´´ of the 1st Van Halen album, that song don't have backing vocals and is an awesome, one of my favorite songs.
