I have been a HUGE fan since the very first time I say any of the Friday the 13th films, and will ALWAYS be. I take this stuff very seriously and will be sculpting until im too old to sculpt anymore. Trust me, I will be in this hobby for a very, very long time. Eventually I will sculpt every single jason mask along with many others. I focus on The J-Man because its fun. Im definately NOT doing this for the cash, lol ha ha. Sure its nice when a sale comes along but my work is my work. Im sculpting for ME!!! u say my work is crude and has bad form. which I guess is true in a sense but I am happy whith where I am in my progress. Thats why In this thread I asked for ideas on a sculpt not on how to sculpt. I know my skills will improve with time as will everyones. Obviously im no jon fuller, Justin Mabry, or Bob Primeau, and maybe I never will be but I have absolutely No problem with my sculpting skills. Thank you for the post, I really do appreciate it.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but who's going to want a Jason mask from you if you even tell yourself you're not great? You seem to have the ideal that if you keep sculpting whatever you'd like, you'll develop into a good artist, but this isn't true at all. That's not how it works. Any artist knows this, perhaps the artists of the board can chime in; Crash, Colin, Justin, Erich, Jon.....I used to sculpt like CRAP at first, to be truthful I was 13, but none the less, I sculpted a human head ONCE, not to mold, not to cast, but for practice, because everyone told me "Trust me, it will help!" and I've sculpted noticably better because of it. Well, NOW I've made two masks which I've been told have been "one of the most accurate of it's kind" and I'm proud to say it's from practice! You're eyes, ears, lips, and skull structure will never look right until you practice them alone until they look perfect. Compare your sculpts to those of the effects artists today, you KNOW something's different, but you can't place your finger on what. You don't stop sculpting an area until it looks like every professional artist's. Don't limit your skill because you think "oh I'm not good enough yet."Don't settle for what you CAN do today, but what you will be able to do in a couple months if you spend these ones just practicing! That's the ONLY way people will ever take your work seriously, is if you do the research, watch tons of how to vids and simply look at tons of other sculpting progress pictures.THAT'S my idea of what to sculpt next...

In RE to the 3, yeah the newest 3 I saw (maskmaniac?) was great... impressive. Mutant is awesome as well, not 100% accurate but by far my fave NIGHTOWL sculpt.Like I said, as cor accuracy with the correct humps, facial features, teeth, ears (one ear missing), chin structure, etc is more or less what I am commenting on.

It doesn't matter what you sculpt, they'll just come out looking like a pile of poop with eyes and a nose because you'll never take the time to properly learn anatomy. You really shouldn't even post topics like these anymore, no one takes you seriously when you do because no one really cares what you sculpt next, except the newbs that come here to NIGHTOWL who don't know any better. I think you'd be better off starting a CDP forum so all 6 of your fans can go and post and kiss your a$$. Oh, and so sorry if you took offense to that, the truth can be ugly, Jamie.

Either take opinions and suggestions, or don't ask for them. It's pretty golly gee willikers ignorant to shoot down all these people who know what they hell they're talking about. They're trying to HELP you, if you can't see that, you're never going to be better then you are now, and that should be the goal of every artist, better your craft. This thread is locked now because no one is going to learn anything apperently.
