Hey, everyone!!I have been a huge Batman '89 fan since the movie came out. I was three years old at that time and amassed a lot of the Kenner action figures during the Batman craze. They were heavily played with until many of them just fell apart... <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" /> For the last few years, staring at the broken remains of my 4" Batman toys has made me wish I could just find a bunch of brand new MOC versions for display. However, Ebay is annoying and some of the figures have become very rare these days. Prices also vary greatly for them when they pop up...So I just stopped caring and moved on.On a random trip to a local comic shop yesterday, I peered through an open window into their storage room and noticed that they had recently added a ton of old Batman: The Animated Series toys that hadn't been shelved yet. I asked if the guy had any 89 figs, so he starts digging through the stacks.....Within 30 seconds, he finds six originals, as minty as the day they rolled off the factory line. Reverting to age 3 once again, I freaked out to almost a shameful extent and bought four of the six toys, leaving out only the Catwoman and Robin figs just because who cares?! Robin was never even in that film...Anyway, here they are in all of their glory:After I calmed down, I took a second look inside the storage. There on the same shelf was a 7" Ledger Joker. I had to ask how much he wanted for it. His answer was, "$10 would be fair." Considering I paid $35 for my other one that isn't *nearly* as nice, I threw it in the bag, too. Check out the totally awesome subtle flesh paint on its forehead and the very realistic gaze of his eyes:More pics in the next reply...

Lastly, I bought the new NECA VS. mask today and took a few pics to share. I also snapped some pics of it sitting alongside - and underneath - my Black Se7en to show how tiny it is. (Tommy, you were right! I apologize! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /> ) Man, were the real VS. masks really this size?!Thanks for looking and Cheers,Ryan

Pretty sure the size of the Neca Vs is 100% dead on. Look at Robert holding the masks and how small they are in his hands. Here is one I redid on an undermask/lifesize. It gives you a better feel for the actual size. It fits perfect compared to the original FS, etc. blanks which are a little too big/long when trying to capture that Vs. look. For other styles they work great though.Great figures Ryan. Those are awesome.

I had that Bruce Wayne and Shadow Wing Batman as a kid. They were my favorite toys along with my 1985 Snake Eyes figure. Man oh man the memories. I also have that Joker.

lars10: Wow, you're right!! I've seen that pic of Robert with the hockey masks for years and never even thought twice about how small they are...That's crazy, though! It really puts those props into a real-life size perspective.Furthermore, your redo of that mask is FANTASTIC!!!!! Nothing else even hopes to compare. I especially love how seamless the filled "extra" holes look. You're gonna have to teach me how to do that! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Tongue\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" />Krypt Keeper: I agree, the memories these things bring back for me are too numerous to count. I still have most of my original Kenner 89 figs somewhere. Shadow Wing Batman is indisputably the COOLEST figure from both lines (the coolest non-Joker, of course). They absolutely captured one of my favorite Batman scenes of the film in toy form, so that figure became the instant favorite. Unfortunately, my first one is long gone. I just have his cape and accessories hanging around somewhere in my toy storage. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Sad\" border=\"0\" alt=\"sad.gif\" />Thanks for commenting on the figures, everyone! They make me feel like a kid again every time I see 'em, so I thought I'd share the wealth of nostalgic overload with any other Bat fans present. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Smile\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" /> Heck, if you have any of the original figures, feel free to post them here! I'd love to see more!Cheers,Ryan
