With Mark and Bob doing the Robert E. sculpts that got me thinking how much i like when they go back and do "Fred before" stuff in the movies. They did it in Vs. and they did it in Freddys Dead, but does anyone remember the series on TV way back in the day "Freddys Nightmares". It was so-so but i remember the first episode was on Halloween night in the late 80s i think, and me and my friends watched it between trick or treating. It was awsome it was all about his origin, the court case, i remember they had Fred in a cage in the court room to protect him and all it showed was his hands turning his fedora over and over like he was nervious. Did anyone else see this, i know some guys in here are kinda young but i know some of you must have seen it.

I think i would enjoy that, serial killer stuff is much more interesting to me. I think that is why im such a TCM fan.

Did anyone else see this, i know some guys in here are kinda young but i know some of you must have seen it.

I remember it, and own it on VHS as a matter of fact. I was walking through a Sam Goody store a few years back and they had a few "Freddy\'s Nightmares" tapes, so I nabbed that one. LOL

I remember the series. I loved it. The first episode was the prequel of Nightmare one, showing a non burned Englund being arraigned in court.

Oddly enough, I just bought the DVD set of the 6 episodes.

I have the first season on dvd. I love the first episode. It\'s worth a watch if anyone hasn\'t see it yet.

Hell yeah I remember that series...and that episode. I\'ve been meaning to pick them up on VHS or DVD (if I can find it). Freddy actually cut a tv promo for that show specifically for my town where he mentions some part of it...very cool.

Speaking of cool Freddy stuff from the 80\'s.... does anyone remember the phone number set up so you could call and \"talk\" to Freddy? I paid $1.95 to hear him say some stupid crap for about 90 seconds...but hey, that was pretty cool back in the day
