Question: Michael Myers Mask

I wanted to ask all of your guy\'s expertise.

I bought this MM mask from a con years ago. I also subsequently had it signed by Dick Warlock when I met him in 2004.

However I know nothing of what film it originates out of.

I previously thought all MM masks were the same, and did not realize that each had their own distinction.

Do you guys know what specific installment this mask is from? I looked at various pictures of each, and cannot figure which is which, and which one really resembles mine.

Also, does anyone know the history or whereabouts of the manufacturer/artist, Smith\'s Grove? (I know of the Smith Grove reference, just not the company/artist name)

Also, does the mask (including signature) have any value in the market?

Wow, that was unbelievably quick. And as I see from his website, it apparently was molded from Halloween 4.

The mask is Rage, and was sculpted by Tom Smith of Killer Masks. He made it back in \'02 and they go for roughly 50 bucks, probably 75 with the sig. He based it off the H4 cover art. Turned out to be kinda a second rate Sam Hain.

Now on another hand. You post on horror message boards, collector horror masks, yet don\'t know that there is a difference in Myers masks and can\'t even tell on your own which mask is based off of what?

For some reason, I knew that most characters had subtle differences (such as Jason\'s mask markings) or huge changes (like bubba), but I always assumed that MM masks were basically the same. (I guess, because I\'ve never been a big Halloween fan, compared to F13, ANOES, and TCM) You got to admit however, for the average un-indoctrinated, the MM masks look damn similar.

However, I took note of these differences only once I started posting a year and a half ago. Never really thought about my MM mask, except that it might seem silly that I have a Warlock sig on a H4 style mask. I guess I wanted to know what people thought. I\'m trying to rid myself of much of my collection, and wasn\'t sure if listing anything on Ebay would be worth it.
