Masks were made to be "worn" after all, and "busts" were made to just sit and look pretty. But your choice. But I bet you crack and at least try it on in the mirror.

I used to wear my masks....When I was like 6 LOLThey're collectible to me now. I kind of feel like a tard standing in front of the mirror wearing my masks unless I'm getting ready for a costume party or working at a haunted house...and even then I don't enjoy it. It's sweaty and itchy. A vengeance is far more desirable uncut.
I only wear costumes I make for all my Halloween parties, parades, and Halloween night. I am in more into character portrayal, and showing the world my talent and making their Halloween a lot better. These costumes also netted me a few thousand dollars over the years in prize money, so it makes the hobby a little more enjoyable and profitable for me. As opposed to just staring at a mask in a glass case all year. They cost too much for me for that. Also it is not likely a 6 year-old is going to make a very believeable Jason/Michael/Freddy, and induce fear in an entire town. People encourage to come back year after year. Can't wait...Sometimes it gets sweaty, but usually cold enough here to deal with it. Actors in costume get breaks, I don't. I wore mine 5 hours straight on one parade, man that was brutal. And I do not sweat easily. Which is why I want a hood as opposed to a full undermask, but also like to be able to take the Hockey Mask off. Decisions...
We get it you like dressing up...Just stay out of my thread with it. How the hell did my thread get turned into a this crap <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" /> All I was doing was showing off a new score.

People love to wear costumes...but this forum is mostly collectors. Having something on a shelf "collecting dust" is actually FAR better for latex rubber than wearing it out, sweating in it, possibly ruining the paint, etc.I understand wearing stuff but you also have to understand simply displaying stuff. Both have their appeal.Like I said though, a cut vengeance is worth a lot less to people

I cant believe I missed this thread...very nice score Dougie!
I live in both worlds, but am primarily a wearer and character portrayer. I am the type to have a wearable vengeance, and an uncut display as well. As Hannah Montana says, "you get the best of both worlds." However I am not going throw my costume on to run to the store...even if it is tempting. But yeah, nice "display."
