Several months ago I purchased the Freddy vs. Jason set by Necca. The one that has the hockey mask and the glove, set inside a shadow box. Maybe some of you have it too. I bought it off the internet, the pics made it seem so cool. The description said glove and mask were cast from the actual ones used in the movie. But I have admit...when it arrived...I WAS NOT IMPRESSED. It was basically plastic and in my opinion, looked cheap.

You guys really know the finer details when it comes to the mask and the glove. How accurate do you think it is? Just curious.

Well both ARE casted from the original Hockey Mask/glove. If memory serves me both are made of Resin. So as far as the screen value goes they are great. However, paint is laking. The reason the promo pics looked so great, because they used the Vs promo shots of the actual mask/glove.

The glove is nothing more than a paper weight in a box. The MASK is the real prize of the NECA Vs. set. It\'s extremely accurate size and shape-wise, Its vent holes and eyes are cut correctly, and if you get right down to it, the paint job isn\'t all that bad either. Hell. It\'s even perfectly WEARABLE, and comes with decently accurate straps already attached. It\'s like the perfect mass-produced hockey mask, along with the X they sell.

Buying the set is definitely worth it simply for owning the mask...Although the less you pay for it, the better.

I thought it was a horrible piece! From what I remember you can\'t even wear the glove, definatley not worth the money. Sad

yup, what\'s been said. The glove is a resin paperweight, but the hockey masks not too bad.
