Mabey someone can tell the story better. Is topshelfcollection done now? I thought he was doing great, i no he started on ebay. But he had a nice web site were i boughht my numero uno. He was really awsome to deal with fast response and quick turn overs. for me anyway. So is the numero uno glove a hot item now? to me it sounds like its a hard find and a higher priced item. like butterfingers is now.Thanks.

Hey buddy. Well I met Chris through e-bay and I bought two gloves from him. The first one was his standard G33 that I have since sold on. The second was a custom job I asked him to do for me which is awesome and I'm keeping it. Basically I asked him to make me a glove with mirror finish blades and he came through for me. As for why he and Top Shelf are no more I can only relay what Chris told me. He said that he relied upon his e-bay sales for his main income despite his having a nice website. So when e-bay became "E-Gay," and changed their weapons policies, that was it for Chris. I remember writing to him and saying, "Dont give in to them man, try all the different listing methods you can think of." Well, Chris told me he had tried everything possible to keep going and e bay just kept on deleting his auctions. It was a bad time for him and for us collectors. At the very end he began listing his gloves unmade and in pieces without blades, sort of as do-it-yourself kits if you will. I guess those didnt get anywhere near the same kind of sales for him so he just decided to quit. The last e-mail he sent me, he told me that he was going back to college and that it would not fit in with glove building. I had those 2 great experiences buying from him. But on my second glove, one of the blades was poking out through the box when it arrived here and the postman handed it to me very carefully and said, "Careful mate, theres something really sharp in there!" Unfortunatly this did damage the blade so glove builders please take note and put some wrapping or paper all around it to stop this, lol. I hope that I have been helpful for you Dave, <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> take care, James.
