Hey guys, this is the master copy of the "Woodsman" sculpted by Chad Marlatt (my old partner) about 4 or 5 years ago. Some of you may remember it. This was back when I was apart of Cryptic Kreations. It never ended up getting produced. Chad recently gave this to me with his permission to re-sculpt it and offer it on Nightstalker Productions. Now this was sculpted using only an 18" action figure as reference. I think it was McFarlane's but I could be mistaken. Maybe Sideshow Toys..... Anyway, this will be MY first attempt at anything "Jason" and since most of you on here are big Friday fans I thought some tips as to what needs to be focused on with this piece may be useful. Since alot of the work is already cut out for me it will still be alot more work to come if I am to try and turn an action figure mask into a more organic and realistic looking mask. I'm already seeing that the mouth needs to be completely re-worked. Anyone see anything else that needs major attention besides the whole thing lol I really do like this mask ALOT! I think Chad did an outstanding job considering all he had to use for reference but that was the look he was going for. Not to make it look like anything from any one scene in the movie but to capture the look of the figure which he most deffinatly did. Now its time to change things up a bit and hopefully I can get it where I'd like it to be. I will offer this as a full intact wearable mask and as a faceless hood to wear easily with a Hockey Mask. All constructive criticism welcome <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> -BillNSP<img src=\"http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t65/deadthing74/woodsman003.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t65/deadthing74/woodsman004.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /> <img src=\"http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t65/deadthing74/woodsman005.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t65/deadthing74/woodsman006.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />

i'd say somewhat smooth out the skin and start over with that as to me this one looks kinda like " tree bark " . i'm sorry if that sounds insulting and really don't mean for it to be but take a look at the SSN mask , justins diehard ,and his vengance at the skin for a more real look . i don't mean sculpt it just like the masks i said so please people don't get on my case about it . just trying to give some tips on improving the mask unless you think it doesn't need any work there . is there a reason why it never went into production ? mike,

Him and I always joke about it. Thats one of the reasons why he never really pushed it on the production line. I guess he wasnt totally happy with the finished product so he just kinda blew it off, packed away the master and destoyed the mother mold. Nobody really seemed interested in it anyway. I think its a great look. That was his second sculpt ever so considering that he really did do a great job. When I found out he still had this master copy I jumped on it and told him to let me re-do it a bring it back to life. Hopefully I can do just that.

I like it the way it is, there is although some room for improvement but i think most of the work has been done, and its nice to see something more original then screen copied sculpts, its a nice take, and id love to see it painted up with a Hockey Mask, and hopefully we will soon <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Big Grin\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />, i gotta have this one in my collection, maybe sitting with my figs, thanx for sharing it with the members, a little of your magic Bill and this babie will be a sure hit!!!
