I don't like that he had taken carpenter's story, redone it, and is now not following the same story line. It seems like he just took on the first project so that he could make a totally irrelevant "devils rejects" styled halloween film, and have the story go where ever he wants it to.I suppose being the writer/director he has every right, but in that case he could have just made a sequel to the originals.

Agree! One thing I am glad he didnt do was make a 3 part movie(even if he wanted too) for me I would have been annoyed if I sat there and watched the movie only to see him get the mask at the end. That would have been a let down to people imo. Who knows maby we will all end up likeing this one? <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":unsure:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"unsure.gif\" />

just shows how money and greed can change things. he said hed never remake a film but we all know how that ended up. he then said hed NEVER do the sequel, and bam...... I wondered what he will lie about now.
