I just finshed watching The Prowler, cool slasher film but the ending was just weird, I don't get it. The guy hanging in the shower all night with the knife wound in the top of his head and out his chin just comes back to life? The flick was cool up until that. Was she dreaming or what?Mike

You're the second person I've heard talk about this movie today, it's weird, I never heard anything about it before but all of a sudden people are talking about it, Lol. I have it on the computer but haven't gotten to watch it yet.

The knife through the head and the sawing of the neck of the girl in the pool are two of the most gruesome murders ever captured on film, in my opinion. Savini was definitely in top form on this effort. What's fascinating is to watch the behind-the-scenes makeup footage on the Blue Underground DVD. You get to see all the tricks, and there is a lot of extra footage of all the "grue". Quite unsettling and yet satisfying if you're a fan of the effects of the era.

I honestly feel like the ending is just the typical "final jumper" of the era. Doesn't necessarily have to make sense...just has to scare the crap out of the audience (ala Carrie). Just my opinion, though.
