Is there any kind of a spray plastic, or something that you can spray out of a can that hardens as it dries? And preferably somehting that can be bought at a hardware or hobby store.

Not sure about plastic but they sell filler primer that works similar to bondo filler

What does primer filler do exactly?

You spray it on and let each layer dry....when dry it can be sanded then applied again. It\'s what i\'m using on my han solo in carbonite block to make the entire thing seamless and smooth
