Something I've found interesting about the hats is the difference in size. I own a brown Fedora in a XL size which is fine for wearing on top of my mask. It does seem a tad too big but not much so I'm happy with it. From pictures I've seen, Freddy either wears a slightly smaller sized Fedora or, a Trilby. The Trilby styles seem to have a more narrow looking rim to them. The rim on Freddy's does not seem too large suggesting that it might be a Trilby. Either way, cut a few random holes in it, add some dirty stains and it will look Ace! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":biggrin:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />

The key features are the sharkfin gray color, and the grosgrain fabric on the band as well as around the edge of the brim. You can usually find some nice ones on ebay every once in a while. Some of them are often a little beat up from age, which makes it even more convenient

It looks like the hat but, the brim dosen't seem to be as wide as the part 1 fedora was and dosen't have a bound brim. I'm pretty sure the part 1 fedora was a Stetson Whippet. Amongst hat/fedora collectors<i>(yes,people collect fedoras)</i> the whippet is a very sought after style and goes for $$$$ I broke down and just decided to save up for a custom made part 1 fedora. You'll make yourself crazy trying to find the right size,color, brim width, etc. I'm a stickler for accuracy so, custom made was the only way to go for me.Hope that helps.
