Actually, after seeing that last post of yours and contemplating the glove on the right along with your general progress rate, I'm now having a really having a hard time restraining myself from ordering one of these. You are just tearin' this shit UP.Honestly, if you get like 30-35% more accurate with that part 1 design within the next couple of weeks, my girlfriend will be scolding me for "buying another prop when it's so close to Christmas!!!!!" <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" /> Cheers,Ryan

I appreciate the compliments and tips. It really does motivate me to improve my gloves since I too want them as perfect as possible. The coloring of the glove has been a very difficult task for me because I have not been able to find an accurate color for the glove in any of the dyes that I use. I have tried mixing and diluting the dyes but have yet to find a combination that really works. I have a ton of photos of Kruegear gloves and I love the weathering but also noticed the coloring of his gloves changed frequently. Maybe he too had trouble with dyes but I simply don't know how he got his gloves so old looking. I think the coloring and weathering of the glove shown below is perfect:<img src=\"http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn47/knifegloves/part1-59.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />But until I can figure out a really good way to age the glove and get the coloring right, I'm using a black dye around the holes since it would otherwise look too clean.Anyway... as for my templates, they are still going to be changed. I have basically tweaked everything so it's more exact like the film. I've even overhauled the blades to be EXACTLY like the film since I have a photo of the glove with a perfect side shot of a blade and was able to trace it. Believe it or not, the blades on every replica I have seen is simply too long. My new blades will be about an inch shorter and have a different shape to them. Can't wait to show you guys.

Here's a photo of it being worn.<img src=\"http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn47/knifegloves/DSCF2896.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />There are some changes that will be made when I get my new templates as well. I simply cut the lower holes on the fingers on the middle two fingers a tad too high so the strip of leather was too small but oh well. I also noticed on the Hero that the lower finger ringlets rest right on the middle joint of his two middle fingers instead of near the base of the fingers like most replicas, including mine. That is one change I will try to address with my new templates. Here's the screen-used one:<img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/uploads/post-7-1228418918.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />

Thanks for taking the pic. I love it, minus the imperfections you noted in the finger holes and ringlets. Keep working on the glove colors, too, man...I agree that if you could wrinkle/age up your glove like that newest attempt, AND match the colors to that Kruegear version, you'd have the Ultimate Winner.New templates, huh? Then I'll wait around for your new templates to be implemented before I place an order. Judging by those observations you posted above, it should look great! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Smile\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" /> Any idea how long it'll be before that will happen?Cheers,Ryan

I have to wait until I run out of materials for one of the gloves and I still got a bunch left. Then again I do have a bunch of orders outstanding as well. Anyone want to come to my house and help me build??? <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Big Grin\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />It's probably a few months down the road because I also want to invest heavily in getting new materials for blades. There is only one place that I have found that sells mirrored steel on both sides that comes in 16 gauge thickness. It's in Texas and I have to ship it in so it'll cost me about $750 just to get the materials and then additional cost to get the blades cut. Due to the large investment it will require the price of the Part 1 will have to be increased to make up for the cost. Not sure how much though. I will offer two versions. A Standard and Deluxe Hero. I'll need to make sure the Deluxe version comes with enough extra features to make the additional cost worth the upgrade. I'm still brainstorming.
