Fright Night Remake Movie Trailer Is Finally Here

I am surprised that Fright Night is being remade.

I actually seen online that the Schwarzenegger movie Total Recall is also being remade. :confused:

Hollywood must be running out of ideas. :whistling:

Fright Night is my favorite vampire movie, so I was skeptical when I first heard about the remake. Now that I've seen the trailer I have to admit that it looks promising; also, I love the cast. I'll be crossing my fingers.

Well, sorry for having a different opinion and not digging this boring and unimaginative remake trend that is going on these days. There wasn't a single thing in this trailer that made me want to watch the movie. No interesting actors, no cool special effects, no creepy movie score and the visual style reminds me more of Twillight or something. Compare it to the epic and thrilling trailer of the original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MAL5VJVezQ In comparison the remake trailer you love so much comes off as.. well, bland and dull.

Total Recall is based upon the novel "We can remember it for you whole sale" by Phillip K D.i.c.k (Typed it that way because it is actually his last name) who wrote "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" which became "Blade Runner", and "A Scanner Darkly" (which became "A Scanner Darkly", respectively) amongst numerous others which were adapted to film.

So, although the Schwarzenegger film is a good sci-fi action classic, perhaps the remake will follow the authors original work more closely and hopefully be more comparable to Films like Blade Runner and A Scanner Darkly. Although, I could be completely wrong.
