Unfortunately - my first horror movie was The Exorcist, probably around the age of 5 or 6. One half of my family is super southern baptist religious, and then there\'s my dad, who\'s the complete opposite... But yeah. To this day I still can\'t watch anything with an exorcism or anything like that in it. Even Constantine gave me nightmares when I watched it a month ago. Sad But I seriously wake up and can\'t go back to sleep because it\'s so bad...

My grandparents were the first people I knew that got cable. I used to switch from Nickelodeon when they were in the room, to The Movie Chanel when they left the room. This is where I remember seeing my first horror movies. \"When a Stanger Calls\" was probably the first one I had seen.

I spent a good chunk of my life, when my age was in the single digits, running around wispering \"did you check the children?\"

...AND NOBODY KNEW WHY

my first memory although very vague, is the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. i think i was like 3 or 4 and i remember seeing images of it on the tv with my aunt patty and my mom. it\'s funny, i barely remember it but i know it scared me, but in a good way. also, my mom would rent The Town That Dreaded Sundown all the time, so that was probably one of the first. i was hooked from the beginning.

Quote:Here\'s my best story....which my mom loves to bring up a lot....

When I was about 7 or 8, I was into mummies. My dad yelled to me that there was a movie about mummies on WGN. The movie: "Children Shouldn\'t Play With Dead Things." So, unknowing to my parents, I watched it. At the end, Orville comes from behind the door. For years after that, I had a crappy cardboard frankenstein on my and my little brother\'s bedroom door at Halloween. I was so freaked out, I made my mom cover the frankenstein with a blanket.....she still laughs to this day, since I have a whole second bedroom of horror and masks.

I enjoyed that story a lot.

When iw as about 9 or 10 i remebr when UPN use to have Nightmare on elm strreet on. The 1st time i saw the preview i had the worst nightmares ever from that.

The story i rember well was. Once i was watching it and i saw a girl in the dark running down the street and i saw her close up and when i heared freddy\'s voice i turned it off really quick and from that day Freddy scared the shit out of me until i was older. hehehe maybe that\'s why i love Jason so much? Maybe because when i saw him getting shot at in JGTH on tv when iw as about 10 or 11 it changed my life and all i could think about was Jason and friday the 13th from that day on. That\'s probally why i am the way i am now and my 3 rooms are. and also i have to thank my mom\'s best friends son which there all family to me and juse to wacth me when i was little, anyway one day he put on his jumsuit and hockey mask and jump out and scared the shit out of me and his sister so i bet that had something to dow ith it, yeah he was obbesed with Jason when iw as younger he still might be not sure. Rember the old good Friday coustumes from the 80\'s guys? I don\'t rember much since i was a little kid then.

I was about 3 or 4 and the movie was Candyman. Just going to the movie store scared me because I saw the covers of Childs Play and Dolly Dearest and the movie store was in the middle of nowhere. But, after watching Candyman, I was afraid to go into dark corridors and public restrooms.

Kinda off-topic, but I had a terrible nightmare recently where my family was driving over the bodies of dead Asian people covered in tarps. I could see their faces staring at me and they horrified me. Now, I can\'t watch any Asian horror movies like Ringu or The Grudge because of the looks on their faces....
