    Great Find!

Costume Collecting is only just now becoming appreciated. Movie used props NEVER devaluate no matter how old it is or how bad the condition. Costumes have been sort of the \'red headed step child\' of the collector\'s circles for far to long. Which is sort of a good thing/bad thing. As most people considered used costumes to be \'worthless\' most of the older stuff was tossed in the trash. As we all know, when items are in short supply, they demand a higher price. However, as people in the movie biz started figuring out that fans WILL PAY for that stuff, more and more of it is saved either by the actual production companies or by people who work on the sets who sort of sneak them away. Either way, screen used costumes will ALWAYS hold a good value, but the collector market is always based on wheither or not you as the person with the product can connect with the collector who is willing to pay top dollar.

If you are not going to sell it - just know that you\'ve got a GREAT piece!

Scarlett pretty much nailed it. Great piece, first and foremost, but like she said, it comes down to find the collector who is willing to pay something for it. Plus, you must have provenance of the piece\'s authenticity. As time passes the vaule of the piece will go up, especially considering its from a George Romero movie. I personally would not compare it to a bat suit, just because of the time and effort involved in making a costume like that...but its still a really nice piece of movie history...

Well, honestly, the only real way to know is by throwing it on ebay with a reasonably high reserve. I\'ve personally never seen any LOTD props or wardrobe for sale, so I wouldn\'t have the slightest idea how much people are willing to pay for it.
