This is a comparison picture of the black 7 and a frightstuff part 7. Both are painted by CRASH

It's gorgeous, but sad you paid $300 for a lousy paint job and paid Crash again to repaint it... I wanna grab a red 7 and have him do it up......... but your hockey masks look beautiful..... congrats bro

It had already been repainted by the time I purchased it!

I wasn't paying 299.00 plus postage for the original paint work.
I can assure you, I did the math. By the time I'd purchased a new blank from Mario, paid for shipping, paid CRASH then international shipping charges on top, I would have paid more than what I got this mask for.

As far as I'm concerned it the next best thing to owing the original!

I anticipate Crash will be getting a few enquires for painting these blanks...........................................no wait time for me!
At the end of the day a "bird in the hand is worth two in the bush"!

I will say this again because it's the truth: The Black/Red Se7ens are NOT very brittle. You would have to INTENTIONALLY be trying to snap one in half or drop it on a very solid surface from a reasonable height to cause any damage. Did nobody see my pictures showing the huge range of flexibility that mine has?! Seriously...Unless you're just completely CARELESS and ROUGH with one, it's gonna be just as flexible and wearable as most plastic hockey masks you can buy. So you can't smack it on the nose with a hammer over and over without any damage....Who !@#$ing cares?! Who out there is actually buying their hockey mask replicas based on this completely pointless detail?

Are you even aware that there are more types of plastic resin on the market than the normal, 100% rigid, brittle stuff we see most often in character busts? Dude, I've seen some resin mixtures that have a rubbery, stretchy consistency to them. Likewise, the type of resin Mario used simply has different properties and way less rigidity than most resins used for replica busts and props. In addition, the fiberglass strengthens its resistance to breakage...This isn't another GOHS mask or Bill Forsche blank that we're talking about. These masks are something different all together. I oughta know...I own a Black Se7en, too.

I can't understand this new smear campaign against Mario's replica products. I really can't. Here somebody goes and recasts the screen-used hero Part 7 hockey mask without altering the details captured in the mold IN ANY WAY, and people are trying to find insane, delusional reasons to hate it. I've heard some people say the masks are "shaped wrong", I've heard "the paint sucks", I've heard "they're far too brittle!", and even the most INSANE of all, "they're much bigger than the original mask!"..... If any of you believe this TRASH, you're absolutely as insane as the people who've said it.

Furthermore, personal differences with Mario have nothing whatsoever to do with the quality of product and service he's offering. Nothing. Some people have said that they think Mario is a "liar" involving his product details or they bring up personal dealings with Rich of Horror Museum as a reason not to buy one...First of all, if you know what the Part 7 hero hockey mask actually LOOKS like, you would see that he's not lying about the origin of these masks and mold...As for the Rich subject, that is completely unrelated and none of my business. Mario has proven himself to be a very good seller to me and others with reliable communication, consistency, and responsibility throughout the ongoing Black/Red Se7en sales. He's offered replacement masks for the few people who have had broken copies and everything.

I'm here to tell all of you right now, with 100% certainty, that there is only ONE THING wrong with the Black/Red Se7en castings. That is the unfortunate deletion of less than a centimeter of a pointed plastic protruding on the "propellor damage" that NOBODY HAS EVER REPLICATED TO DATE, NOT EVEN CRASH OR NEAL.

By the way, nice mask! Crash did a bang-up job on it.

    Cheers,

    Ryan

    Ryan,
as that was obviously aimed at me. I am sorry I upset you, Let me clear this up.
I have no issues what so ever with Mario or the black/red 7 or the re-casting, I would like to purchase both in the future. I in fact have spoken to him about both hockey masks and as a large collector of pt-7's I value others opinions especially if it's re-cast from the film.. I do know the Hockey Mask that was broke, and Mario attempted to fix the situation..

Furthermore, my note was not any type of attack on Mario or his hockey masks. I never have nor never will attack anyone who attempts to replicate (correctly) a piece of horror history, especially my all time favorite film. So I apologize if you have taken my comment as such my friend.. If you have an issue with me please feel free to pm me, as this all did NOT need to go on the forum, I simply stated my opinion.....
As well, the shape of Mario's hockey masks is spot on, anyone who says otherwise has not a golly gee willikers clue what they are talkin about.

These are my opinions and should be taken lightly as I have been drinking and not slept
I apologize to Mario and Ryan as I am not tryin to upset anyone

Looks awesome! I sent a RED 7 to crash that arrived yesterday. Looking forward to that one when it`s done.
I see Crash`s paint job changed since the time he did the Frightstuff mask. The tones and details are much closer now!
