Where do I begin? I\'ve always loved Halloween, and I was looking forward to this years mainly because of my new Fred mask (This is the first year I\'ve got into the whole mask-collecting thing). So I was kind of antsy all day, looking forward to nightfall while putting together my costume and playing around with my knifed-glove. I don\'t have kids of my own, but my girlfriend\'s sister has a little boy and girl, and she had promised to go with us to this town-festival where a bunch of Halloweenish activities were taking place. Well, darkness falls and she\'s no where to be found. So my girlfriend calls her and she says that she\'s already put the kids in bed. I was like wtf? Zach (her son) was looking forward to seeing my costume and wanted his picture taken with me and I in turn was looking forward to taking him around the festival. I mean, what\'s Halloween without kids? Anyway, we decided to go just for the hell of it, but it just wasn\'t the same. Sure I got a bunch of compliments on how great the mask and costume looked; and I was greatful for that, but it still wasn\'t the same. Everything was perfect last year, aside from the crap mask I had, since the kids were with us. Not just all that, but during the entire night tonight I saw not 1 child trick-or-treating... Not 1!!! Talk about depressing. I suppose parents are wary these days, and that\'s understandable, but Hallowen just isn\'t what it used to be... Maybe I just need to move. Anyway, sorry for the rant, but I\'ve been looking forward to this day all year and it finally rolls around only to be a big let down. Sad

We had pretty good night, but it wasn\'t as good as last year. Trick or treating around here seems to start at 6pm and end at 8pm...don\'t know why that is, but the streets were dead after 8:00, save for a couple stragglers. I wore my silicone Fred mask, sweater, and Ander VS Hero glove and was able to scare a few kids, so that was cool at least. Plus I was able to walk around with my nephews a little bit while they trick-or-treated which ws nice. But we only had about 30 kids come to our house, and it just felt kind of lame. I need to move to a livlier neighborhood!

I know what you mean. I had a bunch of great plans made up for Halloween, but it didn\'t turn out as I expected.

Ours went down well, about 6 of us adults took a load of kids around to do trick or treat. There were a few who were shocked at seeing my Jman costume so i just staood at the bottom of the pathways for the rest of the houses we visited.
All afternoon was busy here, i had to apply latex face appliances to 3 kids and an adult, but it all went really well apart from it being freezing outside.
Dagon, sorry to hear it was disappointing for you, did you get any pics of yourself in costume?

I wish you guys lived around here. None of my friends have any interest in Halloween whatsoever. Then again, neither does the entire town it seems like- I still can\'t get over the fact that I didn\'t see a single trick-or-treater. Back when I lived in Florida the streets were mobbed with kids. I guess it just depends on where you live.

Some of my family took pictures, so I\'ll see if I can get those posted. It\'s the same costume I took pictures of with my cell phone in this thread; http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/index.php?showtopic=15179&hl=, although the quality isn\'t that great compared to the digital cameras.
