I don\'t want some random gang beating buy a bunch of random guys screaming "YOU....SICK...BASTARD!!!!" in my face for dressing up as myers do I?
plus all those ideas suck anyways. too bad Rob can\'t see past all those asskissers and towards where the GOODS are.

the more i read this whole thing...i thinks its a fake!!! I really dont think rob would F*** the movie up as much as its saying. you know, rob\'s a good movie maker, i have a feeling this movie isnt going to be anything like what was said in the script review.
Quote:Which makes it sound like you think this movie will ruin the "hood" that the original Halloween created... which is absolutely wrong. Michael Myers could ride around on a unicycle and kill people in this flick and it takes nothing away from the original. Did the Vince Vaughn Psycho ruin Hitchcock\'s? Did the up-to-date, trendy Dawn of the Dead ruin Romero\'s masterpiece? If you don\'t like this movie when you see it, then that\'s cool. But please don\'t disrespect what John Carpenter and Debra Hill created by saying that it\'s going to ruin MM or Halloween. (note: this isn\'t directed at you Adam, this is in general)When I say its one of those times where "its better left alone while its good", I mean it just hurts the face of the original. You\'re going to have all these stupid kids saying "man Michael is f8cked up, he jacks off to dead animals.. yeah that\'s Halloween". Its like when you\'re talking and someone interupts and tries to finish your sentence with something completely different than what you were going to say. This film, if that script isn\'t a joke, is going to ruin Halloween\'s reputation. Why have to explain Michael? That was the genius behind him, you didn\'t need to know why, and if you did, there\'s really nothing to see. He just snapped one day and turned almost into a statue for so long. You don\'t need to know! It was a brief overview of his past, to set up the story, not much thought into it, like Rob wants to do, because the story is set at Halloween 1978. I\'m convinced that \'reimagining\' is a very dangerous word and apparently warrants \'creative control\' to completely warp a story, yet (shamefully) retain its original title. And I\'m still pissed that Rob would take such an \'extreme in-your-face" approach to this movie... It\'s magic lies in the suspense and terror of the film, not what is shoved in your face. I just think its going to end up like one of those situations where you want one of your friends to see an awesome movie, and before you can, their idea of the movie has been ruined by someone with a misinformed, untrue-to-the-original view of the film.

While i don\'t think this movie will be completely horrible, I probably wouldn\'t buy it, like I haven\'t bought the other Zombie movies, but I would give it a try. It won\'t change the way I feel about the other movies like I feel Resurrection is better than 5. It does make me wonder what range Rob Zombie has in storytelling. Really if all his movies have somekind of sexually deranged killer I\'ll wonder what\'s going on in his head.

Who cares what kids think? Hell, a lot of kids these days don\'t have a high opinion of older horror movies anyway, seeing as how they\'ve had trendy-teen crap shoved down their throats for the last decade. That\'s what I don\'t understand. I don\'t understand how your enjoyment of a movie can be degraded by a remake/re-imagining made 29 years later.

Zombie had said on at least one occasion. He feels that Jman, Bubba and Myers are not scary anymore. Since they appear on lunchboxes and toys are being made of them. They are not feared by children and young adults anymore (BS), the way Myers scared us as kids. I think Rob feels he has to amp-up the icon to make him scary again.
I think his approach maybe too extreme but nothing is on film yet. I also agree with many of you that state Myers motives should remain a mystery. The fact that a seemingly innocent young boy decides on Halloween night to murder his sisiter for no reason and the doctor who becomes obsessied with trying to understand why and what he is as well as seeing that he is never set free, makes for a better film. Giving to much back story to the killer takes away from all that. Classic 70s horror rarly over-exposed the killer on screen or revealed their motives. Hell the lure of Myers was he never was seen in clear view but was always present in the background and was evil incarnate. Making Myers just another serial Killer like Bundy or Ramirez is not going to make him scary again to a new audience in my option. You are going want to be able to take your horror pups to see it as you may have had a cool parent or sibling turn you onto the film. Some of the overtly adult elements Zombie may add will make that task impossible for responcible parents. The original film was more scary then dare I say sick and realistic. I will always have the original Halloween film and no matter what happens. It will simply make the original that much more a classic to me. I have to say that nothing can be worse then Busta Rhymes besting Myers with a barrage of karate kicks. That was in my option the final nail for Myers. How demeaning was that?

well i\'ve come up with either 1 of 2 things :
1. Rob knows that making a Halloween movie is a big deal and is getting alot of attention . so this could just be a fake script to fool everybody and he won\'t let the real one out until the movie comes out so you have more of a surprise . OR 2. this is the real script and he only made it not caring how it\'s made as long as he has a "Halloween" movie under his belt . mike,
