I agree with most of you on this one. I loved last year's remake. You cared about what happened to the family. It made me pissed at the mutants for some of the things they did....But in this one, forget about it. There was such terrible lack of character development, I could care less what happened to any of them. BAD BAD movie. I found myself looking at the time to see how much longer until the ending.

I actually liked it. Give the director a little bit of a break. All he has really done are music videos. I too loved the first remake and had high expectations cause of Aja. I knew he had directing talent do to the fact that I love Haute Tension a lot. I think the writing and acting was weak but, who do you blame for that the actors, writers (Craven) casting or the director. It did lack substance but, it made up for that with cool mutants, awsome gore FX and violence. People who say this movie is stereotypical must not like most horror movies, cause isn't that how most of them are made. If you are a horror fan I say see it at least give it a chance and if you haven't seen it don't judge what you haven't seen. I didn't expect much from it so I wasn't really let down. i can see enjoying it for the pros you mention necro..i do see it paling in comparison to the first, cuz the first paled next to the original...but still...id rather watch something like hills 2 than a romantic comedy, so at least thats not ALL hollywood is making.

I hated the original sequel, and I hated the remake sequel. You simply can't add "part II" to the Hills and have it be any good. lol.

It was better than I thought it was gonna be, even though the mutants in this one were crappy compared to the first. Thought I was watching Wrong Turn a couple times....28 Weeks Later trailer was awesome though!
