Well as you have probably heard Big George is at it again with a rumored direct to DVD flick titled Diary of the Dead. This is an ultra low budget film in which took 1 month of filming out in ontario(seem's to be his new hot spot for filming) and is set back when it all started in the first night.Anyways as the story go's there are a group of students that decide they are going to film a horror flick of their own when they encounter real life zombie's in the process. To be honest...the original Night of the living Dead own's it had a really low budget as well but it was the base ingredient for the mayhem we see today in the later zombie flick's.The question is how will this movie turn out? Is the storyline something that would make you want to see this film?.In my eye's yes only because it has something to do with the way it all began and simply put ROMERO.There is another film he is working on at the moment that is titled Diamond Dead. This storyline doesnt appeal to me one bit.A young woman must kill 365 people with the help of a rock band that she accidentally killed and brought back to life. This to me isnt the romero i know.Im not sure where you other romero fan's stand with the whole diamond dead thing but i am really looking forward to what you all think of the diary of the dead movie.
IT'S ALIVE!

The original NOTLD is an utter classic in every sense. DOTD was entirely different and still an amazing movie. I loved the effects in "Day" but the movie left me cold. I found "Land" to be an utter borefest from beginning to end. I wish Romero would move on from zombies and try something new.................Larry

I think his well is running dry with zombie movies that have a hint of political meaning to them. But I can completely see how Romero fans dig almost anything with his name on it. Just not for me.

I'd like to see a new zombie movie based in Haitian folklore (serpent and the rainbow was about that) and also Fulchi's Zombie was as well. But i'm talking about a back to the roots, voodoo zombie movie with a LOTD budget.LOTD was really a disappointment, i'd like to see Romero learn a lesson from that movie and the fans feedback and get back to primal zombie instincts. In LOTD they were shooting guns, c'mon man. lol Also a politically correct zombie movie is just silly. "they're just looking for a place to live like us." lol That was a terrorist sympathizing metaphore...let's live with zombies and terrorists and hope they play nice. hehe
