You're trying to put "life" into a sculpture that isn't even fully built-up yet...I'd slow down if I were you and work from the ground up instead of jumping straight to the fine details of the face and head. Your sculpture still needs a lot of work, especially in the jaw, mouth, and neck areas. I love the ear placement, but my problems with the piece in its current state are: The jaw is too pointy; it needs to be built more "boxy" in shape. The neck of the original mask is much smaller and a lot more "flowing." IE: curvier neck showing tendons, collar bones, etc.The mouth needs more detail on the area where the upper lip would have been. There are smooth lines on that part of the skull that extend upward from the teeth toward the nasal cavity...Adding those would make the face look much more realistic. That said, this is quite a hard sculpture to achieve, and you're doing fine so far. <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Smile\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" /> The "CJ Graham version" of the movie makeup has never been nailed head-on...I wish you luck on your attempt, though!Cheers,Ryan

Nowhere near finished.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
<!--QuoteEnd
<!--QuoteEEndEverything has the "potential" of being accurate...Most people just end up molding the sculpture too soon. The CJ version of the part 6 makeup is waaay more detailed than any other Jason design, including Part 7. Definitely keep at it. I always get excited when someone tries to sculpture a new part 6 makeup, as it's one of my two favorites of the entire series.Cheers,Ryan

When he molds it, it'll shrink in size.

It's an old scan out of an older magazine showing the CJ version of the makeup (the same one you're sculpting) from a slightly "underneath" view. Even though the pic's angle isn't the best for judging general head shape/proportion with, it really gives a sense of how crazy-detailed the original sculpture work was...ESPECIALLY the neck:

To be completely honest... in those pictures, Jon's sculpture looks like a complete pile of sh*t. I know a lot of you probably think that too. I think his sculpture is GREAT in person, and it's just too bad that the camera can't show that. Maybe outdoor pictures would work better. You're definetly right about the detail Ryan. Jason's neck in part 6 is shredded up.One thing I don't think people notice is... In Jason Lives, Jason has no bottom set of teeth. It's C.J.'s lips painted gray. He also has hair. Only F6 undermask I've seen with hair is Unearthed.
