Hey guys, I'm in seriously bad shape here. I had been waiting on a Butterfingers mask from Bear for almost 3 months now. The mask was sent out the other day and I got a tracking number from USPS. I was going to leave for Flashback Weekend without the mask as I didn't think it would be here on time. This morning right before we were ready to jump in the car I checked the USPS site again and low and behold...the mask was in town slated for a morning delivery today.I waited all day long for the mask to show up and when the mail finally did run my package wasn't included. I called the post office and was on the phone with them for over 2 hours before they finally told me that the carrier had left with the package but had not scanned it in as being delivered. They then told me that it wouldn't be until 5pm today before they would be able to know the status since all of their carriers are supposed to be back in house by that time.I was sitting at the post office at 5pm and the carrier said that she didn't deliver the package and that it was no longer in their facility. The mask is now officially lost according to them. They then stated that the only thing that was done for the package was delivery confirmation. Even they could not tell me if it had been insured, which was a concern of mine because I didn't want to have to hit bear up again telling him that the package didn't show after I wrote a post saying more or less that if I didn't hear anything back after I had been waiting so long with a promised delivery date of 2 weeks that I'd be forced to file a dispute with paypal because I bought the mask for the soul purpose of taking it to Flashback with us.After getting in touch with USPS via their 800 number I was told that it had not been insured, it was just sent priority with delivery confirmation. As I said before, my local post office has since confirmed that the package is not in the building and is officially lost, so I don't know what to do. Before I go any further..here is my previous topic where my concerns were first raised about my mask being shipped on time...<a href=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/index.php?showtopic=21585&hl=\" target=\"_blank\">http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/index.php?showtopic=21585&hl=</a>As you can see...by the time of my last post I was begining to get very upset, but in my defense rightfully so. I had never done business with Bear before but he did come highly recommended and since I had already fallen in love with his mask I decided to do business. I understand that things come up but when I hit 2 and a half months after being told that it was going to be going out in 2 weeks I was upset...and you would be too if you had never done business with the person before. My question is...what should I do...I haven't spoken to Bear personally in weeks now and I've been having to go through Slasherhouse (A huge thank you to him by the way) for anything since he knows Bear personally. To my understanding Bear's son is in the hospital and I don't want to bother him with this crap considering he's going through a tough time, but on the other hand, I don't want to just be out a lot of money with nothing to show for it. I'd like to note that this delivery problem is in NO WAY Bear's fault...I understand that it's not his fault that the postal service screwed up.Please let me know what you guys would do as I've now offset my vacation by a day waiting for it...it didn't show, it's not insured and is officially lost. I'm so upset now I can't see straight, and I'm at a loss as to handle anything regarding this situation at this point. IF YOU'VE GOT AN IDEA PLEASE POST IT HERE!!! I'm open to anything. Thanks so much to everyone on here in advance and I look forward to any help from you all that can be provided.-Joseph

It's the Mark Goodson curse. Anything he touches ends up anywhere but in the hands of the buyer... <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/down.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"down.gif\" /> Seriously, that delivery confirmation is a waste. Rich's U-Fuq was, acording to the post office's website, delivered to my house on Saturday at 1pm. I was home. Nothing was delivered. It randomly turned up on my porh at 4pm on Sunday.Don't lose faith yet. It will almost certainly either eventually get to you, or get back to the sender. You CAN'T go by the USPS's records at all.

Did you pay the extra for insurance? If not then I'd say there is no point in contacting Barry as he did his part. Yes it was very late but unfortunately we need to get used to that. The post office messed up... realistically it sounds like all you can do is wait it out.

Well joe i can't really say to expect your package anytime soon man.I have had this problem once before man and what had ended up happening was the parcel was returned to sender in time.I am sure if it is now lost it will go back to whom sent it out in the first place.Thing's turn up all the time and is very rare that something is lost for good.Good thing is that you know it was sent out.Now let the waiting game ensue and hope for the best.I waited about almost 2 full month's after the first attempt was made to recieve my package. All in all i ended up with it in my possesion and that's all that really matter's.Dont go having a heart attack just yet lol.....it will turn up man.

Thanks guys and I'm sure I probably jumped the gun just a little bit. I think it was more of a shock factor more than anything and I just wanted to vent about it before I tore someone's head off so to speak. I know I shouldn't take heart in anything yet considering all of this just happened today. I think the really frustrating part though is just hearing that *I don't give a crap* tone in their voices when I would speak to them knowing that they could care less what that package means to me. (I'm sure you guys can relate to that.)I'll give it some more time and just keep my fingers crossed. Maybe if I'm lucky the thing will show up while we're gone and it will be a nice little surprise when I get home. Thanks guys for all the info, I really do appreciate it. I'll keep you posted as and if I find out anything more.-Joseph

dude, you need to relax. If you get this upset about masks then you shouldn\'t be ordering them. Sometimes it says the package was delivered and then it comes the next morning.

In my defense however...I'm not upset about the mask itself...what I was upset about was being promised time and time again it was going to be here by a certain date and then dropping contact with me all together...having me to turn to a middle man just to establish contact. Ask anyone I've done business with on here and they will tell you...I'm as patient as anyone else, but if you're promised something by a certain time and then it doesn't show...after REPEATED promises that it would be here on time which it wasn't, and it took a threat of a paypal dispute to get it shipped. Once again I do appologize if I offended you however.Slasherhouse if you read this...could you please get word to Bear that USPS have found the package and shippped it back to him because the postage was not paid on it. USPS would not let me pay the postage as they it was a breach in policy to allow me to do so. They said that it should arrive back to him within the next 3 to 4 days and can be delivered as soon as postage is paid. They also said that the reason it was shipped was because the carrier on the senders end did not check to see if postage was paid since "Click and Ship" was used to digitally alert them to the package. That's all the info that I have for now, I'm just stoked to know that it's apparently not lost. Thanks so much for everything guys!-Joseph
