Hey all....Finally got my pics uploaded! This here is my latest and last public piece.I had a ball with the paint. The most detailed mask I've worked on yet....the gore is fun too....although a bit of a challenge at first—trying to pick the best technique and media for the job. The hair will change slightly on the final pieces. I was quite pleased with the actual sculpture. However, this particular head here had a bloating issue. The poly-foam expanded further once out the mold. Thus creating some distortions to his features. and making him look about 20lbs heavier. I've had this happen before....suspecting heat being the culprit (jungle-hot up in my home) Nonetheless...this is my "roadmap" for the next 8 to follow. Yeah.....8 is it and only it. SOLD OUT. Thanks to all who made the plunge (of course!). This will be my "bow out" peice as a public maskmaker for a while.I hold my busness ethic at a high standard and I don't want to fall in similar pitfalls that other once-prominent mask makers have fallen in to. I just want to have fun and collect, sculpture, paint, explore new medias and most importantly, spend more time with my son. With my new job...I hardly have time for anything between that and getting stuff out. So...as soon as the last box is mailed.....I'm gonna take a long break.Enjoy the pics.....
