Hype can be a bitch, can't it!? I bought into it pre-launch and waited a couple of hours in line for the damn thing and when I got home and played it I felt the same way. Sure it's great for the kids and stuff, but after a while it just got old for me real quick. I wanted some real games, and the Wii wasn't going to cut it, so I sold it. The only reason why it's selling so much is cause of how much it costs! Why on earth would a parent buy their kid a 400-500 dollar system, when they could get the Wii for $250. The thing seems like a fad to me. If their idea of good gaming is Wii Fit, there out of their minds. Xbox 360 and PS3 is where it's at! Can't wait for GTA 4, RE 5, and MGS4.

ok we got one when they first came out, then it collected dust and we sold it. THEN we missed it and we bought one a couple weeks ago again. I am SO happy that I did again because of house of the dead 2 and 3 coming out on one wii disc I love it! Also the ghostbusters game comes out in october for the wii and I think that will be great as well. As for the exercising standing up stuff that is great it is good for ppl to have to get off their asses and be active while playing a game instead of sitting there all day long.

Yeah, I gave in to the hype as well, and I was disappointed. I ended up selling mine too. I only have the 360 at the moment, but I think it's the best system out there for the games I want to play. I just got Condemned 2. Awesome game! I will be getting the ps3 soon as well, for MGS4 and the other exclusives coming out. I am glad that nintendo is doing well with the Wii, but it's just not for me.

If your looking for honest to goodness family fun and not graphics the WII is perfect. I agree with Warlock the WII sports game and Mario games are awesome and the interacton is sweet. the remote takes getting some used to but its fun when you have a family get together and kids. I didn't think I would like it since I'm a big Xbox 360 guy but my wife bought one and I think certain games are a blast, especially bowling. So if your not a graphics hog and have kids this is the perfect system for you.

I also own all three systems and I play the 360 the most by far. My ps3 is mainly my bluray player, but I have some good games for it, uncharted, dmc4, ninja gaiden sigma. The 360 has many more noteworthy games at the moment, but I am looking forward to many of the new ps3 releases. On the wii, I sort of felt as you did at first. Remember that the zelda game is actually a port of the gamecube version, so it's not the best graphics on the system. The best games for the wii are wii sports, mario galaxy, super smash bros brawl (got it this week and I'm hooked), metroid prime 3, re4, and probably cooking mama. The controls take a while to get used to, but they work well for all the games I've mentioned. Since you have the system, you owe it to yourself to at least play mario galaxy, it's the best game I've played in a very long time.Oh and everyone that has a 360 here has to get condemned 2.

I got a wii last summer as a family console and we all love it, guitar hero 3 rocks and the kids love wii sports, i got resident evil and loved it, i wish i had more time to join in with the kids, it's so funny watching them do the wii boxing, my opinion would be if your after something to play with the family or friends that gets you off your arse and laughing the wii is unbeatable but if you are a serious gamer stick with the ps3 <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"B)\" border=\"0\" alt=\"cool.gif\" />

So do you have to use the Wii remote for all of the games? Are you allowed to play with a classic controller?

The classic controller is used for the older games that you can download. The wii remote and nunchuck is the only thing that can be used for Wii games, and you can still use a gamecube controller to play your old gamecube games on it as well.
