I have spoken with Mark through several emails now, and he has been very helpful and answers quickly. The quality and prices of his gloves seem to perfect for my first "real" glove. I will most likely use my realistic plastic one in parades or other parties that may not allow real steel blades, but want a couple real ones as well and for future displays. I seen a few other sites as well, and if you have any recommendations let me know.

Yeah I saw those, man are they expensive. Are they higher quality or just higher priced? I think the ones from knifeglove would be good enough for my needs, at least for now. That was a nice VS one though. A guy on youtube even said don't spend $400 for a glove there, these are great during his review. It did look great.

You get what you pay for with a glove.If you want to pay around $100 for a glove the thickness of the material used and the quailty of the leather gloves is not going to be as high as a more expensive glove.The other thing to take into consideration is the build timeTo get a real good quality replica it takes a long time to make a glovethere are people who can knock a glove out in a matter of hours and do them for Low prices which is great, But you have to think that these people can't afford to keep making gloves if they are underselling there work.This is why the Likes of Anders and other more expensive makers will stay around hopefullythey use the best materials and they take there time building the gloves so they are as accurate and hard wearing at the same time.making gloves takes these guys ages to learn as they are probably one of the trickest props to replica to a high standard of a replicaand so they need to charge a good price for there time and effort.Chris from Top Shelf has just retired from makng gloves due to costs and the fact that ebay have screwed with his finances with the banning of them.Budget gloves are great for the money but If you want to put together a great costume and your asking all the questions about everything relating to Freddy Costumes why not save up and get the high end stuff.There are only a few people making the gloves now so it's not as hard to choose from as it was a year ago and this is down to people wanting good replica gloves but not being prepared to pay the price for someones hard work.

I actually love paying top dollar for high quality products when I can. But with today's economy that is not easy to do, unless I save a long time. Of course it also depends on how much you use it, which for me would be about 3-5 times a year, and the rest of the time it would sit on a display. As far as price and quality overall, the knifegloves seem like a great deal. I am not concerned with 100% screen accuracy, but close enough. Heck most people in my town that I perform for don't even know the difference between Jason and Michael. I hate being called one when I am the other. One guy even called me Jason X when I was the New Blood. He is lucky my machete was plastic.So are the Nightmare gloves the best around as far as quality and accuracy? The biggest problem is "having" the top dollars.

what are the different freddy glove makers? I remember buying one off ebay that looks really acurate, but already a piece of leather is a bit torn...so i say go all out for something that will last a long time. whats the site to that glove englund is wearing in the youtube video?

I have read in many reviews and forums that the knifegloves are pretty much the same materials and quality of the Nightmare ones. People who have both say that the Nightmare ones are just way overpriced, which does not always necessarily mean better quality. Some people sell crap and overinflated prices, some sell gems at a great price. It is about about demand and business size as well. The guy at knifegloves is independent and does them all by hand, and still relatively new to the business. So his prices are lower. He prices his gloves so that people who don't have $300 can still get a quality glove.It is all about marketing as well. Two people can take the same product, one can hype it up and over-inflate the price and it will be assumed that is better quality. The only way to know is to own both, but most probably could not afford that or would not want to pay that much for one glove let alone both. I seen several companies that make them while browsing for hours, but forget all the sites. One called Topshelfcollections used to I think as well, but no longer does it seems.
