Nice work but I agree his arms are to stiff. Throws the realism factor off

Well yeah they are stiff, it is a mannequin. I can pull the arms out of the socket some for a wider look, but this also shortens the arms and raises the shoulders. But like I said, the bulk and pics just make it look more stiff than it really is. In low lighting and at 3/4 to side views it is not even detectable. Without the bulk it isn't either. But this is something that has to be seen in person to enjoy, he is actually 6' 5" total. The only other way to make the arms wider would be to fill them with something and not use the mannequin arms. But I think it looks great enough as it is not permanent anyway. Mannequins were not made to stand like Jason does. They have limited flexibility but overall still a great display.

Why not contact the website that you got your mannequin from and ask if you can by their ajustable arms seperately. If it was my mannequin I would customize the arms to the pose preferred.Pull the arms away from the body and put a filler at the arm pit to keep the pose.Take a cut off wheel and cut the arms and then fibreglass them when you have the correct pose desired.Once the arms are padded no one would ever know and the pose really makes the display.

I could if I really wanted too, but like I said I do not keep displays up long and it looks great in person anyway. You don't really see it unless it is under bright lights dead on. Also as I said, the costume was designed with sizes to fit me, and it is pretty tight on the mannequin now because it is 6'5", so if I pulled the arms out the sleeves will raise and expose the arm covers and other parts that should be covered. If I wanted a 100% perfect display I would need to buy a bigger shirt and do it all over again. But like I said I am primarily a costumer, not someone who has dusty displays sitting around with no use all year. I mostly use the mannequin to make my costumes as it helps to have a form a lot. However I may add some sponges in the gap and pull both arms out slightly, which should make some difference. But they could fall then. I also have very little room and it is tough to get around it now as it is, let alone wider. This thing is HUGE and very scary. But it is basically a place holder for my costume until the parades start, and I love looking at it. Will post more pics with Vengeance and arms out slightly maybe later. But like I said you never see it straight on. But yeah if was a permanent display I would make modifications. But this is a "universal mannequin" for costume making and "temporary" displays.

Ok well as I changed my hood to my Vengeance, I decided to play with making the arms more "Jason like." It worked out great for a "quick fix," and does look A LOT better, especially in person. But the shirt can only stretch so far as I said it is not made to fit something this big. I just stuffed some newspaper and shirt under the arms to flare them out a lot more and I am very impressed with it even though the shirt is getting stretched tighter and higher by the second lol. This display in unbelievable, and about 6'5" 280 LBS now lol. I may one day make a more permanent display for this, and get a bigger shirt. But this sure gets the job done for now as a placeholder for my costume until Halloween. Later on I will also fill the hands to look even better, they are hollow for now though which is why the gloves look loose. Enjoy.Pics on the way.
