New Freddy Glove Coloring

Thanks Ken. I'm doing a lot of communicating with the patina company and trying to find the right solution and application techniques. I'm trying to get it to ultimately be the light brown/flat gold color like this:<img src=\"http://www.etonline.com/media/photo/2008/01/40373/400_freddykrueger_080130_newline.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />I want to get my new, up and coming "Hero" glove to look as close as possible to the original. I think I've got really good templates (finally... after hours and hours of research and drawing).If you are able to give me any advice.. let me ask you this (feel free to PM a response)... do you age your copper before or after soldering your blades? I just notice that on all of the gloves I've bought from others, the solder remains bright and silver... but I don't see how to keep it that way if I'm aging the copper after the blades are soldered since my patinas are also darkening the solder.

Took me a few hours for the fingers alone. I do not want it to take that long so I hope to one day find something that I can quickly apply and let it sit to develop without me having to keep checking it every 5 minutes or constantly touching it up over and over again until it is right. But anyway... I don't see how anyone can solder the blades after the aging process because the flux just removes my coloring when soldering the blade. Quite frustrating if you ask me..

I use a solder with acid core flux so it pretty much goes where I want it The flux doesnot spill over anything. I also use a coating to keep this from happening where I dont want the solder. My method has changed constantly also. First I put a base coat before patina helps the patina have a more even coat, then buff then add color than buff, then final coating (top secret). Its not like the Pt1 you had the "promo" Its something new that will not come off. You see I have been doing this for yrs and I still change my methods. I am never happy. This is why I am still around I feel I still have new better things to offer all the time.
