Here are a few snippets from the post: Today I read that I will not be playing Jason in the new Friday the 13th movie. Well I just spoke to them [Platinum Dunes] yesterday for the first time and I said my piece and threw my hat into the ring. I would not be surprised if I do play Jason in the movie. I want to play Jason in the film and it is being considered as of yesterday. The Platinum Dunes team and I work very well together and continue to work together. While admittedly it is early for any of us to make a decision completely, I assure you all, I am in the mix and at the front of the pack.

personally i think that's kind of a dumb reason for him not to play jason . tom morga seemed to do just fine as jason/myers but hey who cares right ? just like they will NEVER cast hodder as myers or another jason for that matter due to his hight . prob. in the next one they'll have jason on stilts <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":whistling:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"whistling.gif\" /> mike,

In my eyes, Andrew (even before "letting himself go" as it is said) would be a bad Jason... He's simply too big for my taste, not skinny enough. Jason wasn't a body builder, he was a man. Hell, I got banned on his forum that he never goes to for saying he seems a bit too muscular for the role of Jason... <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":confused:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"confused.gif\" /> In my eyes, Jason is supposed to be this tall, thin and lean guy. It seems Derek mears fit the description. Just watch part 1-6 and you'll see (with the exception of Dan Bradly).

well CJ is pretty big , kane is too but not too much in height compared to CJ and Ken . just seems like they get taller in every movie . i wish it would just be simple like how it was . hey i bet for the next film they'll contact the great kahli from WWE or however you spell his name

I'm just glad that Jason is back to his old self again...not some half rotted away slow as hell walking dead. Jason has energy again and moves with a purpose!
