I watched it last night and found the 3D transfer to be a BIG disappointment. 15 minutes in I had to take off the red/blue glasses as they gave me the biggest headache. Anyways……question, anyone know if the glasses below would work with the this DVD? I remember watching Part 3D in the theatre and were given clear glasses to watch the film not the red/blue glasses supplied with the DVD. in order to get the 3d to work properly with your television, you must have a 3d set up disc. For whatever reason, paramount decided not to put that in with the dvd. Surf the web to see if you can find one. They are similar to the set ups in video games and such where you have to adjust the various settings of the tv in order to get the best quality out of it. This isn't gonna help your headaches though....i am one of the few that cannot watch any 3d because i get massive migraines from them.take care,Tommy

They use different 3-D techniques, so the answer would be no.

Yeah, the new DVD release was a big disappointment...paramount didn't even add any new extras on this disc, like they did with the first two! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/down.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"down.gif\" /> If you don't have this flick already, save yourself $10 and get the old version. You're not missing anything.

Even though it bugs the shit out of me that Paramount did this, I wont go too far into this, as I seem to be one of the only ones, which this truly discusses. The original was filmed with a (half new) polarized technology of 3-D, which in the theaters, was meant to be seen with the clear/polarized glasses. Paramount, either to save money or make more in the long run, or both, opted to transfer it to DVD using the red/blue technology, which in turn requires the red/blue glasses. The polarized technology blows the red/blue technology out of the water, when it comes to how much something looks 3-D and how much it pops off the screen. Not to mention, they didn't even make the beginning credits 3-D on the red/blue DVD, which is almost unforgivable! Lets see how many more copies of Friday The 13 1-8 Paramount can pawn off on the fans, before they release what they should have released the first time around!....

Try wearing both pairs of glasses at the same time, doubled up. It helps a tad, but not much.I was so disappointed with this release that I bought a field sequential machine with shutter glasses. What a difference.

What made me mad was that the opening credits aren't in 3D. WTF?

Completely agree, the "3D" was horribly done on this release.
