Well, finally got off of my butt and tried to make a safe Remake machete. I think it came out okay for now. I still need to work on my faux rusting technique and need to find some leather straping. Anyways, here's the pictures of both my VS and my Remake "Safe" machetes. Also, I'm thinking the remake might be a little to skinny. Check later post for newer pictures.

I think they look cool! If you dont mind me saying, if the handles are wood, I would make them with plastic, that way they look different then the blade. Thats what I did on a chainsaw I made out of wood as well. But stil man, great job!!!Tom <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Smile\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" />

Really appreciate the measurements. From eyeballing my screenshots I ended up only being about 1-2 cm off throughout the machete. Not bad. LOLThanks for the great compliments guys.

    Just cranked out two new machetes today. One VS and one Remake that is accurate in size to the original.Without further ado, here are the pictures:Blanks<img src=\"http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d54/phantomrahl/Projects/DSC06852.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d54/phantomrahl/Projects/DSC06856.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d54/phantomrahl/Projects/DSC06860.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d54/phantomrahl/Projects/DSC06868.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d54/phantomrahl/Projects/DSC06877.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d54/phantomrahl/Projects/DSC06876.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d54/phantomrahl/Projects/DSC06871.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d54/phantomrahl/Projects/DSC06872.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />Worked on my rusting technique:<img src=\"http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d54/phantomrahl/Projects/DSC06864.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d54/phantomrahl/Projects/DSC06867.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />
