Hi everyone,I have had an ear ache for a good few days. I went to the DR. on friday and he said I had an inner ear infection. He gave me a 5 day suply of antibiotics and Darveset for pain. Well it is no better today(monday, june first) and I only have 2 more antibiotics left. I can not hear out of my left ear at all and the pain and pressure come and go. The left side of my face, close to my ear is swollen down to the bottom of my cheek. What I'm getting at is how long will this FING thing last? Ijust want to hear again, lol. Thanks,Tom <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Smile\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" />

I had one of those bad boys. Not fun!!!...Finish out the AB, and eventually you will have drainage. It can get messy, but when it happens you will feel tons better.Lay your head on a heating pad or hot towel, and that will help break up the blockage a bit.

I hear the a drop of urine in your ear will help a lot. Sounds nasty but it's an old time remedy.

Ask your Doctor about ear drops called Ciprodex. If they are able to be dropped into your ear, that worked pretty well for me. It took a while for it to go away. My doctor also prescribed Lortab for the pain. It really sucks.. but it'll pass.
