I was watching Killshot a week or so ago and thought the same thing about him looking a lot like Heath Ledger.

hmmmm... he does look similar but we'll have to see how he plays Cobra Commander... I think he could probably pull off joker fairly well. I've always thought Crispin Glover would make a great Joker.

ummm yeah, we should probably just let the character of the Joker rest... Heath's performance can't be touched and it's time to introduce a new villain since the Nolan series will probably be wrapped with the third Batman film (if it is made).I believe JGL will suck as Cobra Commander, but I also believe 90% of the new GI Joe movie will suck (rumors hit the internet yesterday that the director just got fired and they are completely re-ediiting the movie after terrible feedback.)Just saw Killshot yesterday, excellent movie if you havn't seen it. Another stellar performance by Rourke... the only thing I didn't like about it was JGL.

I, myself, would love to see them at least show joker in arkham. one shot of a look-a-like in the back of a dark jail cell would be awesome. hell, even give him a small speaking part. I garuntee he would have had a small part like this in the next flick just like scarecrow did in tdk. why ruin a good opportunity if its possible?

Speaking to producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura about the story, the producer denied it completely:Lorenzo: Its very unfair to Steve, its completely untrue he was never asked to leave or been fired or any of that. That’s ridiculous. The movie tested very well.Latino Review: So what really happened in the editing room?Lorenzo: Nothing that doesn’t happen on every other movie, which is that you constantly work and work and work and you make it better and better. We had a delay on visual effects so we waited a long time to finish the movie but that’s the only thing. I don’t really know why that would be interpreting it negatively but I guess it was.So there we have it, there was nothing about this whole affair that added up properly. As I said in my opening sentence this is a very strange turn of events. Thankfully Lorenzo and La'Review have sorted this whole mess out, but it just goes to show how far some people will go to cause trouble! It's also worth noting that the thread at the Don Murphy Message board has now been deleted - says it all really doesn't it?<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEnd

I don't want the Joker character to rest... he's one of the biggest villains in history! We can't ignore him or just let him fade away because Heath is gone. Listen, I'm not saying that ANYONE can replace Ledger. The dude was one of a kind and a true icon, same with Jack Nicholson, no one could replace him either. But I would like to see the Joker pop up from time to time to make an appearance and I think JGL can pull it off (to keep things as consistent as possible). Would you guys rather someone who looks completely different just take on the part, different look voice and all?
