A very somber day indeed. The school where I teach is about a mile away from ground zero.It breaks my heart to look out my classroom window and no longer see the towers in the skyline.Words can't describe, nor time erase the images in my head from that day. My heart goes outforever for the families that lost loved ones on that day.I just wish that the camaraderie, understanding, and love that was felt in NYC the months thatfollowed was still here. It's unfortunate how easy it is for people to forget that we are all human beingsand that is one thing that we ALL have in common.

As many of you mentioned already, the togetherness that was felt throughout America was incredible, but it seemed to be short lived. I wish it would have continued... I think we need it. On this day 8 years ago I lost my best friend and brother in arms Chris... We were in NYC together for some personal business and my girl wanted to go home, but we wnated to stay, Chris ended up staying and unfortunately I awoke next morning to the worst phone call a person can receive the last goodbye. Rest in piece brother and everyone else who gave their lives on that tragic day. Hard to believe this was 8 years ago..RIP for all of those that lost their lives that day <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"sad.gif\" />..to this day i cant watch the clips..So horrible it almost makes me cry..God Bless the NY police and fire departments..
